Services · 01
Full tear-off to the deck — never an overlay — then a complete weather system built up layer by layer and finished in the material your home was designed to wear.
What’s included
A roof isn’t shingles — it’s a system. Our replacement quote lists every component below as its own line, so you can see exactly what you’re buying and compare any other bid apples-to-apples.
Three honest tiers
GAF Timberline HDZ® or equal. 130-mph wind rating, lifetime material warranty, 30–50 year service life. The right answer for most homes.
The look of slate or shake at a third of the weight and cost. Thicker mats, deeper shadows, and curb appeal you can see from the street corner.
The forever materials. Quarried slate, hand-split cedar, or standing seam — roofs you install once per century, not once per owner.
The build, hour by hour
Materials delivered, gardens tarped, plywood over the patio, dumpster placed on boards — not your asphalt.
Old roof off by noon, deck inspected and photographed, any soft planks replaced and shown to you before sundown.
Barriers, underlayment, flashing, and field shingles. The house sleeps dry under a finished or fully papered roof — always.
Ridge vent, caps, final flashing dress-up, gutters cleared, triple magnet sweep, and a foreman walk-through with you.

Quick answers
We could — code allows one overlay — but we won’t, and we’ll tell you why: an overlay hides a rotting deck, voids most wind warranties, bakes the new shingles from below, and costs you double at the next replacement when both layers come off. Tear-off is the honest path, which is why it’s the only one we quote.
Yes — New England roofers who don’t work winters aren’t New England roofers. We install down to about 26°F using cold-weather adhesives and hand-sealing techniques, and we simply won’t open more roof than we can close that day. Some of our cleanest work happens in January.
Honestly: it’s loud from about 7:30am to 4pm — plan video calls elsewhere. But your driveway stays usable, pets stay safer inside, and the yard is swept nightly. Most clients tell us the anticipation was worse than the week.
If it has five good years, we’ll say so. If it doesn’t, you’ll get three honest tiers and a calendar date.
