A new roof. Done once, done right.

Full tear-off to the deck — never an overlay — then a complete weather system built up layer by layer and finished in the material your home was designed to wear.

What’s included

Every layer, itemized.

A roof isn’t shingles — it’s a system. Our replacement quote lists every component below as its own line, so you can see exactly what you’re buying and compare any other bid apples-to-apples.

The system7 layers
  • Complete tear-off & disposal. Down to bare deck, debris in our trailer — never thrown in your hedges.
  • Deck inspection, plank by plank. First three replacement planks free; the rest quoted before we nail them, with photos.
  • Ice & water barrier. Six feet at every eave plus all valleys and penetrations — beyond what code requires.
  • Synthetic underlayment. The felt-paper era is over; this is the layer that buys you decades.
  • All-new flashing. Chimneys, walls, and valleys — we never reuse old flashing, the #1 source of “new roof” leaks.
  • Balanced ridge ventilation. Calculated intake-to-exhaust, the quiet fix for ice dams and a hot attic.
  • Nightly magnet sweep. Lawn, drive, and beds — your tires will never find what we missed, because we don’t miss.

Designer Shingle

The look of slate or shake at a third of the weight and cost. Thicker mats, deeper shadows, and curb appeal you can see from the street corner.

Best · from $24/sq ft

Slate, Cedar & Metal

The forever materials. Quarried slate, hand-split cedar, or standing seam — roofs you install once per century, not once per owner.

Quick answers

Replacement questions.

We could — code allows one overlay — but we won’t, and we’ll tell you why: an overlay hides a rotting deck, voids most wind warranties, bakes the new shingles from below, and costs you double at the next replacement when both layers come off. Tear-off is the honest path, which is why it’s the only one we quote.

Yes — New England roofers who don’t work winters aren’t New England roofers. We install down to about 26°F using cold-weather adhesives and hand-sealing techniques, and we simply won’t open more roof than we can close that day. Some of our cleanest work happens in January.

Honestly: it’s loud from about 7:30am to 4pm — plan video calls elsewhere. But your driveway stays usable, pets stay safer inside, and the yard is swept nightly. Most clients tell us the anticipation was worse than the week.
